Welcome

Our Vermont-based Employee and Organizational Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential public, not-for-profit program that provides counseling and wellbeing resources to employees and their household members, and workplace resources to organizations.

Stress, both in and out of the workplace, is a part of life for most employees and business owners, and we’re here to help. Our enhanced EAP includes a comprehensive breadth of services and supports to help with any need, no matter how big or small.

Key Features

Confidentiality: Our services are confidential and private.

24/7 Access: Life doesn’t adhere to a 9-to-5 schedule, and neither do we. Our clinical line is always available: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even during weekends and holidays.

Professional Counseling: Local, licensed, master's level clinicians are positive, proactive, and ready to support you. Our clinicians can connect with you in-person or via telehealth to develop a solutions-focused plan.

Management Consultation Line: Our exclusive management consultation line connects leaders and managers directly to our suite of supervisor-specific resources and supports.

Wide Range of Services: As a member of Invest EAP, you can access legal referrals and financial advice, monthly wellness workshops, recovery-friendly and substance abuse referral resources, monthly wellbeing digital newsletters, a robust website and wellness portal, and so much more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will you be able to connect me with a counselor? Waitlists for counseling are so long it’s difficult to find anyone.

A: Yes! We are fortunate to have both staff clinicians who only serve our EAP members, as well as affiliate clinicians we partner with in the community. You should hear back from one of our clinicians within two business days of your request.

Q: What are the reasons someone might call the hotline?

A: Our experienced clinicians are ready to support a wide range of topics including marital and family issues; alcohol or substance abuse concerns for yourself or loves ones; grief and loss; depression, anxiety and PTSD; career transitions and work-related consultations; smoking cessation; healthy lifestyles; balancing work and family; and so much more. We encourage you to reach out if there’s anything on your mind!

Q: What is the cost for employees to access the services?

A: For employees who are a part of a member organization, our services are included at no cost to the employee.

Q: Do you offer in-person or telehealth for counseling?

A: Both! We want you to be able to access support in the way that works best for you.

Q: What supervisor-specific supports can I access through the management consultation line?

A: Some of the resources available through our management consultation line include critical incident support and debriefings; facilitated discussions; referrals; and thinking partnership and guidance with EAP consultants for any supervisory issue to name a few.

Q: Will using EAP affect my job?

A: No record of your contact with EAP will be provided to your employer without your written consent. If your job performance is significantly affected, your supervisor may recommend EAP to you as a resource for you to use to resolve any personal or work-related problems that may have negatively impacted your performance. The goal is to improve your personal well-being and work performance.
